NLP (or Keywords )
We have to start
to bring this entire chapter on the rider's head position, and it's affect
on the horse, and how we should use it down to one or two key words that we
can remember...and one of the easiest to start to cover a lot of ground is
the elegance of the spanish hats.
You've heard of
Olympic athletes who say slogans to themselves time and time again.
Then, on the actual day, they just remember one or two keywords.
The swimmer might
just have to think 'roll your hips', or 'flick in the turn'.
This is years and years of training and practice brought down to just:
One or two
"keywords".
If I were
to narrow down this entire chapter regarding the rider's head I would say
the very best keywords for you to repeat again and again to yourself would be:
-
PINOCCHIO
level to the ground
-
STICKY TAPE
on the front of your neck
-
NOSE DRIBBLE
over your
belly button
-
PONY TAIL BELL
Is it ringing?
And remember the
soft elegance of the Spanish hat.
